We are all born with free souls.
Yet as we move through life —
within society’s rules, expectations,
and our relationships with others —
we sometimes begin to feel
a little less free than we once were.
And there is nothing wrong with that.
But life is given to us only once.
What if we simply shifted our perspective a little,
and allowed ourselves to live a bit more freely?
Freedom is not about being selfish.
It is about trusting ourselves.
Honouring the values and feelings within us,
living with love in our hearts,
and sharing that love with the world around us.

I share the things that inspire me —
my curiosities, my creations,
and the journey of my life
as I continue to follow a free spirit.
Ceramics Class

I offer private pottery lessons by appointment,
available at flexible times.
Lessons are available as one-on-one sessions
or for small groups of up to two people.
Based on what you would like to create,
I teach wheel throwing, hand-building,
and glazing techniques in a clear and supportive way,
tailored to each individual’s needs and experience level.
Please note that I currently do not offer a firing-only service.

Free Hemp underwear is almost sold out.
After many years of being loved by our customers,
Free Hemp underwear will come to the end of its production this year.
We’ve received so many wonderful messages like,
“I can’t wear any other underwear anymore!”
Sadly, due to changes in our production environment
and the retirement of our manufacturing partners,
it has become very difficult to continue making the same quality
at a similar price point.
For this reason, we’ve decided to pause production for now.
Some colours and sizes are already running low,
but we’ll continue selling the remaining stock on this website.
Orders will be shipped from Japan until the end of this year,
and from Australia starting in 2026.

Cooking Class
@Byron Community College
I currently teach tofu- and miso-making workshops
at Byron Bay Community College.
As you may know, Japanese food is very popular overseas,
and these classes include sharing stories about Japanese culture
as well as a tasting and shared lunch.
The workshops have been very well received by participants.
These classes are held four times a year,
and I also teach as a guest instructor in vegan cooking classes.
My Ceramics
In 2014, I stepped into the world of ceramics at TAFE in Lismore, drawn by a long-held curiosity.
What began as a casual pursuit alongside my work slowly became something much deeper.
The feel of clay in my hands and the rhythm of the wheel quietly pulled me in, until ceramics became impossible to let go of....

It’s no exaggeration to say that my life has been shaped by travel.
New roads, new landscapes —
each encounter inspires me.
But travel doesn’t have to be far away.
Just as every sunrise is different,
the sky, clouds, wind, and trees
change subtly each day.
Spending time within nature like this
is what feels truly special to me....
Cooking
Cooking, to me, is alchemy.
Alchemy is the ancient pursuit of transformation —
turning the ordinary into gold.
In cooking, simple ingredients meet fire and time,
and become something unexpectedly wonderful.
When I cook with love,
and meet the process with devotion,
I believe a quiet, delicious magic unfolds…
Hemp Underwear
More than 20 years ago,
when I was still running a vintage clothing shop,
I wandered into a small hemp store in San Francisco
while on a buying trip.
I still remember the shock of how cool that shop felt.
“I want to create cool clothing for women using hemp.”
The passion I felt in that moment has continued ever since —
even now, I’m honestly surprised at how long it has stayed with me.
As many of you may already know,
hemp is a plant from the cannabis family…
Dancing
Einstein proposed through his theory of relativity
that all matter is, in essence, energy.
When I surrender myself to music and dance,
I feel the vibration of sound
resonate within my own body.
In that moment, energy begins to rise and flow through me.
This state becomes a completely meditative one,
and at the same time,
a state of deep awareness…
My Cats
For cat lovers, no explanation is needed...
At different turning points in my life,
cats have appeared out of nowhere with a sudden “Meow~,”
then gone on to share life with me —
close, yet always at their own gentle distance.
Chikuwa, Disco, Tango, Opera, and Cumbia....— all my cats over the years.
